MAINTENANCE 1:1
Developed within Maintenance 1:1 at the German Pavilion for the Biennale Architettura 2023, this project explored how materials recovered from previous Biennales could return to everyday use in Venice.
Together with local initiatives, carpenters, residents and fellow designers, we created small scale interventions for the Santa Marta neighbourhood. I worked on a mobile outdoor kitchen for Circolo Anziani, a social space for elderly residents, and a modular table for a nearby primary school.
Built entirely from reclaimed materials, the structures responded to local needs through gestures of reuse, repair and spatial care.
