TERRESTRIAL CELL TALES
Terrestrial Cell Tales transforms Gropius Bau into a scenographic system of cells, passages and thresholds. Drawing from holdout buildings, the Panopticon and Kafkaesque bureaucracy, the project explores migration, surveillance and spatial access through architecture.
The exhibition is composed of 47 cells, each occupied by a different artist with a migration background selected through an open call. Visitors move through partially restricted routes and receive access through a passport and lottery system, where each visited room becomes a stamped trace of encounter.
Through repetition, restriction and delayed access, the project turns circulation into a spatial experience of borders, privilege and institutional order. The exhibition becomes a fragmented archive of personal histories, shaped by chance, exclusion and the politics of movement.
